The Salina Crusaders season ended on a positive note. The last game played was against Emporia State, where the Crusaders were victorious with a 29-19 victory!
During the regular season, the Crusaders were undefeated with 5 victories. They included teams such as Kansas State, SMU, Pittsburg State, Topeka, and Emporia State. That is a very great accomplishment for such a young and new team being led by a handful of veterans.
During the Wayne State Tournament, they had 1 victory, 1 tie, and 1 defeat. That was quite an accomplishment since the Crusaders were bumped up a couple of Divisions to play in the tournament.
The team looks forward to new players all time. If you are interested in becoming a Crusader, or just part of the croud, you can leave comments at the bottom of this article. We encourage all ages to participate with our team. We have become a close family and look forward to next years season and hopefully it will be as successful as this season.

At the conclusion of the BBQ on Saturday, we will be voting the best player, most contrubuted, etc.. to show appreciation of the Spring Season. The event is in the calendar at the side of the page if you are interested in coming, we look forward to seeing everyone there. Remember, Rugby is a True Warriers Sport! We aren't the best, we aren't the worst, we are a tight family of Warriers that like to have fun playing a sport that we love to play and participate in!

Thank you again for the support that you have given us this season and season's to come! We couldn't do it without all the support from our fans, our sponsers, and most importantly, our families! Without the love from our families to take care of us after we come home beaten and brused, there would not be a Crusaders Team. We want to thank you the most! Until next season of fun, Have a good summer and keep in shape!

This was a game to see! It was a DESERVING win after last years defeat! Even though the score was 77-15 in favor of the Crusaders, the battle was that of one for the books.

This was the team of the OLD, with all the vigor and strength of the NEW! The Crusaders seemed to click like they haven't clicked for a couple of years. The Pack was mean and played like they were out for blood! The Backs played like they have been playing for years, and the plays that they did have not been done since the team first started.

If you missed this game, you missed a good one. There isn't much to be said about the game being bad, because it was mostly all good.

The ground and pound and the out passes to the backs seemed to be a regular thing! It was as it had been planned that way and as if we told Topeka how to ack and the followed the script as planned.

The Crusaders have come a Long Way for having a new backfield, and if you get a chance to see any games in the Fall, you should come watch them to victory! You will be amazed of the progress the team has made, and you just might want to put on some cleat's and come out and join the team! It was one of the best things I have done!

The spring match schedule is now posted. Check out the calendar for dates, times, and locations.

Directions to the pitch are now up. Check the link at the top of the page.

Welcome to the still very alpha Salina Crusaders site!

At this point I'm still toying with the site and its content, since its been almost a good year since this site took an unexpected hiatus that was beyond my control. At this point I'm looking into adding a calendar, a forum, and possibly a photo gallery module, if I can find one that's already written and can get some recent pictures on top of that (the most recent I have, such as the one above, are from 2005 at the latest).

I would be adding some other basic information, such as a summary about us and directions to the pitch, rather soon. In the meantime, if anyone has pictures that they could contribute (such as photos of the most recent Wayne State tournament) let me know.
